“Run, heart”: a story of “love”

“Run heart” It is a “love” story -in quotes- because, although it focuses on a relationship, it is of the type toxic. The young and inexperienced Malena will succumb to the charms of Maximuma mysterious professor of literature, twenty years older.

Malena was not born with the width of the sword: she comes from a working-class family, she does not have a dominant beauty and she is not the most outspoken of her friends either. Although she cannot choose the cards that she was dealt, she will learn the best way to play the game.

Maximum, is the archetype of the integrated psychopath. Couple bonds in these cases usually begin with love bombing of love and advance with an intensity never experienced before. Too good to be real.

It is the relationship with Maximum the one that will allow Malena discover the world of running, experiment sexually and play with fire, until burned. In any case, the other is, after all, a mirror in which we reflect ourselves. Knowing him will be a way of knowing herself. In other words, “Run, heart” is a story of self-discovery and resilience.

My main motivation is to create the books that I would like to read and cannot find. That’s why, “Run, heart” is an agile reading text but it covers deep topics. And Malena will make us reflect on the romantic love, friendship, family and sport, among others. But, above all, about the most important relationship of all: the one we have with ourselves.
