The end of Kiss’ career is getting closer and closer: The band has now announced their really last performances. Five concerts in Germany were already known.
The final North American fall tour begins October 20th in Detroit and concludes with two concerts on December 1st and 2nd at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Tickets are available from April.
Speaking about the last big shows, the musicians said: “Kiss was born in New York City. On 23rd Street. Half a century ago. It will be a privilege and an honor to finish the tour at Madison Square Garden, 10 blocks and 50 years from where we started.”
“We give everything we have”
In July 2022, Gene Simmons had said Kiss would be adding 100 more cities to their current farewell tour. With upcoming dates in South America and UK/Europe, as well as the newly announced tour of North America, there are now 50 concerts left on the tour.
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show this week, the band confirmed that this really is the end. Paul Stanley said, “Yes, this is the end…we’re giving everything we’ve got.”
The End of the Road Tour kicked off in January 2019 and was billed as Kiss’ final tour, although the band had already embarked on a 2000 Farewell Tour (in which case it was just a farewell to guitarist Ace Frehley). In the meantime, Kiss have been slowed down by the corona pandemic.
