News | Back, Pago24

In 2021, it received certification as a B Company, which makes it part of a global movement that seeks success and financial benefits to work to build a fairer, more equitable, and regenerative economy for people and the planet.

Through Pago24, the company’s main brand, in 2017 it installed the first service center in Barrio 31, designed for residents to pay their bills, recharge SUBE and cell phones. In addition, in 2018 it installed the first ATM in the neighborhood.

In 2020 Trasa created the UMIF (Modular Unit for Financial Inclusion) that facilitate access to financial services for people who are mostly unbanked. In turn, through the UMIF new employment opportunities are generated, since the people who work there are residents of the neighborhood.

In the middle of the pandemic, the first UMIF was inaugurated in Spegazzini (Ezeiza), later they installed new UMIFs in popular neighborhoods such as 21-24 and 1-11-14.

Also, Trasa installed 17 Pago24 ATMs in popular neighborhoods of the country or its direct area of influence. Thanks to this work, more than 54,000 families (cf. National Registry of Popular Neighborhoods) have been positively impacted, because they can extract cash in a reliable and accessible way. Neighbors promote the local economy and help the growth of businesses in their neighborhoods, since they no longer have to travel to other areas to withdraw cash and a large percentage of the money obtained is used within the community.

Trasa hopes to continue strengthening the physical financial infrastructure of more communities with the installation of ATMs and Pago24 service centers, to deepen the work that is done with people and populations at risk of financial exclusion.

Ricardo Minicucci, founder of Trasa, expressed: “For years we have had a different perspective on business, perhaps it was innate. We understand that we have been making a Triple Impact company since our beginnings. We believe in the impact we generate by taking financial services where banking does not reach, sometimes digitally and other times traditionally. What interests us most at Trasa is improving the reality of people”.
