In the twelfth duel between the two teams, with five Paderborn wins, it was the fourth draw with three Dresden successes. Most recently, the SCP had achieved a 2-2 draw at FC St. Pauli.
Dresden sold dearly
After a long start-up phase, the hosts only really got going towards the end of the first half. Florent Muslija (35th) tested Dresden’s keeper Anton Mitryuschkin from 20 meters, who was able to steer the ball around the post.
In the 39th and 41st minute, Philipp Klement had two chances for Paderborn to take the lead. He just missed the goal with long-range shots. Dresden sold dearly, played very committed and showed great fighting power. Paderborn did not manage to provide decisive moments of surprise on the offensive.
