A former football great by Michael Owen a young employee has died at the horse stable he owns, reports Daily Mail.
A 25-year-old woman had collapsed early in the morning in the middle of her work, and the emergency personnel who arrived at the scene were unable to save her. The police do not suspect a crime related to the incident.
According to the Daily Mail, Owen and the employees of the Manor House Stables broke down in tears when they heard about the tragedy.
– It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that a highly respected member of our team has died this morning, the team announced.
Owen owns the stable together with his daughter Gemma. Manor House Stables is located in the county of Chestire in North West England.
Owen, 43, represented Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Manchester United and Stoke in his career. The wily striker won the Ballon d’Or award for the best soccer player in the world in 2001.
