A National Team lost 2-0 against Croatia in the 2nd match of EURO 2024 Qualifying Group D. After the fight, coach Stefan Kuntz made statements.
HERE ARE STEFAN KUNTZ’S WORDS:
I am not satisfied with the score. In the first half, our team put a good game on the field tactically. We entered 3-4 clear positions. Due to the pressure we put on, we forced Croatian players to make mistakes.
The difference between us and our opponent is our first contact with the ball. While they use the ball differently in the first contact, we can be missing. Here we need to improve ourselves. Against such a difficult opponent, it was important that we also assign young players a task. Young players will never gain the experience they will gain here in training. However, we will talk to improve our situation after the match and we will work to learn our lessons.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu had a strain on his groin. We’ll find out how serious it is after the MRI.
