There were 271 road deaths in Flanders last year. This is according to the latest police data. That is a decrease compared to 2021, when traffic has claimed 310 fatalities. But in 2022 there were also 2,371 serious injuries and 23,212 injury crashes were recorded, representing an increase of more than 7 and 9 percent respectively.
