– Playing Maggie Pierce has been one of the joys of my life. I am grateful for every step of this journey. I’m excited about the next chapter and what the future holds, the actor commented on his departure in the press release.
Fans of the drama series received the news with a heavy heart. Many are downright disappointed.

The beloved hospital drama has been filmed for a total of 19 seasons. The first episode was shown in March 2005. Over the course of history, several characters have left the series. Last year, fans were shocked when Ellen Pompeo announced that she was leaving the favorite series. He managed to act in more than 400 episodes.
