Record broken but missed victory: AC Milan suffered a serious setback in the fight for the Champions League places in the Italian Serie A. When Swedish top striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to the starting XI after more than a year, the Milanese lost 1: 3 (1: 2) against Udinese Calcio.
Ibrahimovic became the oldest goalscorer in league history with his penalty to make it 1-1 (45+4) at the age of 41 years and 166 days. He replaced former Italy international Alessandro Costacurta as record holder, who also scored for Milan in 2007 at the age of 41 years and 25 days. Ibrahimovic was out for a long time after knee surgery last May.
Roberto Pereyra (9th), Beto (45th + 6th) and ex-Cologne Kingsley Ehizibue (70th) shot out the victory for Udinese. The Champions League quarter-finalists AC could be pushed from fourth place in the table by AS Roma later in the day and have to worry about qualifying for the premier class again.
