A new streaming service and TV channel in Finland

BBC Nordic and BBC Nordic+ will start in Finland in a month.

The channel will start operating on Monday, April 17 at 11 a.m. BBC Studios

A completely new TV channel and streaming service will start in Finland exactly one month from now, on April 17.

In the future, the BBC Nordic channel will combine the programs of the BBC BRIT and BBC Earth channels. The BBC Nordic+ streaming service shows entertainment series as well as factual programs.

Entertainment programs can be seen on the BBC Nordic channel, among other things QI, The Serengeti, The Graham Norton Show mixed Life Below Zero. In addition to this, a new program will start on the channel The Great British Bake Off.

Head of BBC Studios Arran Tindall states in the press release that the company wants to show Finns how much they are cared for.

– We have delved into Finnish viewing habits and selected programs that we know our audience will love. We bring exciting novelties to entertainment and lifestyle programs, we expand our content selection to attract an even wider and more diverse audience. The launch of BBC Nordic+ also means that our viewers will get both their channels and their streaming under one BBC brand, says Tindall in the press release.
