After the brutal knife attack by Akin S. (30) on his employees on Monday, the victim is still in an artificial coma. His condition is said to have stabilized in the meantime. The argument is said to have been about money.
Akin S. is the head of the chicken forest in the Staaken Center on Obstallee. According to BZ information, he is said to have found shortfalls in the cash register and suspected his employee Björn P. (28).
According to another employee, Akin S. wanted to confront him. As an excuse, he is said to have asked him to come into the underground car park to help him with the winter tires.
There is said to have been an argument that escalated. Akin S. is said to have pulled a knife and threatened Björn P. with it. The employee is said to have fled back to the center, followed by the boss.
When he caught up with him, S. is said to have stabbed his victim several times. Witnesses alerted the police around 12 noon. The shopping center was closed and forensic scientists secured evidence.
“The suspect initially fled from the crime scene, but then turned himself in on a section in the afternoon,” said a police spokesman.
The critically injured man was taken to a hospital and immediately operated on. He is still in an artificial coma, but according to the police, his life is no longer in acute danger. His condition remains critical, a police spokeswoman said. He has not yet been questioned by the police about the incident.
