SK Gaming makes a dream start

With three wins in the first week of play, SK Gaming has made a perfect start to the spring season of the League of Legends league LEC. Fnatic is still not getting going despite the player change.

“We were actually a little worse in training this week than usual,” said SK jungler Mark “Markoon” van Woensel in an interview after the game against Astralis. “But I still started the week very confident and that showed with the three wins.”

Finishing fourth in the winter, SK had proven they could take on the favourites. At the beginning of the spring season, the team had beatable competitors in BDS, Fnatic and Astralis, but made no mistakes and clinched three comfortable victories. SK leads the table together with Team Vitality for the time being.

For Fnatic, who was eliminated after the regular season in the winter season, the start went terribly wrong. In three defeats against Excel, SK and Vitality, the team has performed poorly and is in last place alongside Team Heretics. The top planer Óscar “Oscarinin” Muñoz Jiménez, who was promoted from his own Academy team, has not managed a single elimination in a total of 18 deaths.
