Nikkarinvuoka is an easy way to use leftover boiled potatoes.
Anneli Leino
Nikkarinvuoka became a favorite of home cooks in no time in 2017. The boom started in Facebook’s Home Food Group, where home cook Anneli Leino shared his own recipe, which he had found on a recipe card 30 years earlier.
In no time, everyone was cooking the casserole, and the recipe for the dish also made it to the most searched list of Alma Media’s recipe service Kotikokki.net.
– Nikkarinvuoka is an easy food made from inexpensive ingredients. There are often leftover potatoes, and you don’t always have to fry them, Leino told Pippuri.fi about his recipe at the time.
A simple casserole dish is relevant even today, since its ingredients are quite inexpensive and also suitable for a tighter food budget.
