Deinze will remain the starting point of Nokere until 2027

“With the extension of the contract up to and including 2027, we are putting our city on the world map,” says Jan Vermeulen, mayor of Deinze. “The two competitions together account for almost five hours of live TV broadcast. We also agreed with the organization that not only the Market and the start will be shown, but also tourist attractions such as the Castle of Ooidonck. This is how we promote tourism in our city.”

The women and juniors also leave in Deinze. The finish line is traditionally drawn on top of Nokereberg. The 77th edition for men and the fourth for women are scheduled for Wednesday 15 March. Four days earlier, on Saturday 11 March, it is the turn of the juniors.

“We are very satisfied with the cooperation with the city of Deinze. A wonderful infrastructure, a professional approach and a lot of enthusiasm are the ingredients to make the start of our competitions a success every time. We are therefore happy with this extended cooperation.” emphasizes the managing director of Nokere Koerse, Rony De Sloovere.

Last year Tim Merlier won Nokere Koerse.
