A motorist completely wrecked a playground in the Vincent van Goghstraat in Eindhoven on Thursday night. The curious accident was shared by the Eindhoven police on Instagram.
The crash must have happened at a considerable speed: the playground is closed off with a fence and a hedge, the rammed climbing frame is a few meters away from it. The accident happened around 2am.
One of the turrets was completely broken off by the impact. There is also nothing left of the red slide that was attached to the turret: it lies desolate on the ground. The black car was severely damaged by the impact.
Second accident
Another accident happened next to the playground. A gray Peugeot collided with another car there. The damage is significant. Whether the collisions happened simultaneously or whether there is a connection, the police do not know.
Who exactly is responsible for the havoc remains a mystery. “The drivers of both vehicles have not made themselves known after the incident. The people involved all indicated that they had not driven, but it seemed unlikely to us that the vehicles had done this independently.
