Eva Jinek asks Rob Kemps about massive criticism: ‘Whole buckets!’

Rob Kemps looked from left to right, but saw them nowhere: viewers who liked his talk show De 10 Questions. He was confronted with it last night in Eva Jinek’s talk show.

It is evident that Rob Kemps could have used a little more guidance at the start of his TV career. With former TV celebrity Matthijs van Nieuwkerk at his side, the entertainer seemed to be a very big player in Hilversum, but he signed with SBS 6 and now plays the jack of all trades there.

Rob and his earpiece

Rob really lends himself to anything, even to things he can’t do at all. Shortly after the turn of the year, he could be seen with a serious interview program: The 10 Questions. And because he cannot interview, Antoinnette Scheulderman was called in to whisper everything to him through an earpiece.

It has caused Rob, who was already under fire because of his tantrums, a lot of image damage. He was really criticized from all sides, but Angela de Jong and Johan Derksen were particularly critical. According to the Today Inside star, Rob better quit TV anyway: “They’ve tried everything with him now.”

Eva stirs up a riot

Eva Jinek raised the riot about De 10 Questions last night in her talk show, where Rob was a guest. “A lot of what you do turns into gold. You recently made a program on TV, The 10 Questions, and then you received a lot of criticism. Did that surprise you?”

Rob responds quasi-casually: “No, of course not. ‘Oh yes, do you still have to do that too?!’ Yeah, well, I was asked to do it and I felt like it, and then I do it. If you like it, you watch, and if you don’t like it, you don’t watch.”

“Then don’t look!”

Eva: “You know it’s going to happen and yet it’s different when it happens, Rob.”

Rob: “Yes, look, everyone is of course allowed to think… If you don’t like Snollebollekes, then you shouldn’t come, and if you don’t like The 10 Questions, then you shouldn’t watch. Then you should watch Jinek or Radar or another fun program. Yes, I also think life is really too short to worry about that.”

He continues: “Of course it’s more fun when you get compliments. Then you want to shout it from the rooftops. But it’s really not like I’m ehhh…”

Lucky one

Eva: “No, of course not, but do you think now: I wouldn’t do it again so quickly, an interview program? Just because you don’t feel like being reacted that way?”

Rob: “No, because then you would leave it for the reactions. I’m lucky because I can do what I like, and then you should too. There are a lot of people who really have to do something at half past six in the morning, but I’m so lucky. Then I always keep choosing what I like.”
