Basketball superstar Kevin Durant is about to make his debut for the Phoenix Suns in the North American professional league NBA.
As the franchise from the US state of Arizona announced on Twitter, the 34-year-old is scheduled to appear for his new employer on Wednesday (local time) with the Charlotte Hornets for the first time.
Durant joined the Suns from the Brooklyn Nets three weeks ago as part of a blockbuster trade but has not yet played due to a ligament strain in his right knee.
“I know it’s not going to be smooth,” Durant said on Tuesday. “It will take some time to get used to everything, but I’m looking forward to having fun again and just getting lost in the game. “
In the Western Conference, Phoenix is fourth in the table and on course for the playoffs.
