Jamie Cail42, was lying on the floor of her home in the middle of the night last Tuesday when the male friend of the top swimmer arrived at the couple’s apartment from a local bar.
The man had immediately rushed Cail to the local hospital, where they tried to revive him. However, nothing could be done, and Cail was pronounced dead at 2:39 am.
The cause of death is not yet known. The local police are investigating the incident.
In the late 1990s, Cail competed in the United States at the national level.
