A man ended up with his leg under a train at Mechelen station on Monday evening. The victim was seriously injured. He was conscious the entire time. The fire service had to come to the scene to free the victim from his plight. An ambulance and a MUG team also arrived on the scene. After administering first aid, the man was taken to hospital. The circumstances in which the accident occurred will be further investigated. The man was standing on the platform at the time of the accident.
