A motorist who went off the road in Hoogeveen in the night from Sunday to Monday, then collided with a parked car, knocked over a tree and came to a stop against the sidewalk via a lawn, took off after the accident.
The incident happened around 3 a.m. on Grote Kerkstraat, where the driver left clear traces of destruction. Both the car that caused the damage and the parked car that was rammed had considerable damage after the collision. As far as is known, no one was injured.
Police investigations must determine who the motorist is who caused the havoc.
