Award-winning Canadian actor Gordon Pinsent has died

The Canadian actor is remembered for his numerous film and television roles. He is also remembered as the voice of Babar the elephant.

Award-winning Canadian actress Gordon Pinsent has died at the age of 92. The information was confirmed by the actor’s family to The Hollywood Report.

Born in 1930, the actor had time to make a long and varied career before his death. Pinsent, who started his career at the age of 17, not only acted, but also wrote, directed and even sang.

Pinsent has starred in numerous Canadian television series. He is also remembered for films such as Away from Her, The Grand Seduction and The Rowdyman. He wrote the last one himself.

The actor is best remembered, especially among young people, for the adventures of Babar the elephant. He worked in the program as the voice actor of King Babar, or the father elephant, from 1989 until 2015.

Pinsent was married to an actress Charmion King’s with. Their marriage lasted from 1962 until 2007, when King passed away at the age of 81.

The couple have a daughter together, Leah Pinsent, 54, who has followed in her parents’ footsteps into an acting career.
