The Quadrantid meteor shower on January 3 can be viewed from Earth, it says in the message on the website of the Moscow Planetarium.
“At the peak of activity of the Quadrantid meteor shower, up to 120 meteors per hour are expected, which is 1-2 meteors per minute with a clear sky,” the planetarium said. As high as possible above the horizon, the radiant will be in the period from midnight to dawn, this is the best time to observe the meteor shower.
The site notes that it will be possible to see the starfall from anywhere throughout Russia: “The conditions for observing the Quadrantids in 2022 are favorable – the Moon will not interfere with the observation of meteors.”
