Because of several demonstrations, drivers in Berlin must expect major traffic restrictions during the course of the day on Friday.

A demonstration with several hundred participants is to be held on the occasion of the annual Russian The war of aggression against Ukraine will start at 12:00 p.m. at the Neptune fountain in Mitte, according to the traffic information center (VIZ). The demo train is to run from Spandauer Strasse via Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse, Unter den Linden via Wilhelmstrasse, Reichstagufer and Paul-Löbe-Allee to Platz der Republik. The event is scheduled to last until 3 p.m.

A pro-Palestinian demonstration is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on l. Traffic disruptions are to be expected along the route from Stresemannstrasse, Anhalter Strasse, Wilhelmstrasse, Kochstrasse, Rudi-Dutschke-Strasse, Oranienstrasse to Oranienplatz.

Extensive road closures are expected from 4 p.m. during a large-scale demonstration against the Russian war of aggression starting on Karl-Marx-Allee. Via Schillingstrasse and Strausberger Platz, Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse, Unter den Linden, Wilhelmstrasse, Reichstagufer, Paul-Löbe-Allee, Heinrich-von-Gagern-Strasse, Yitzhak-Rabin-Strasse and Strasse des 17. Juni to the Brandenburg Gate should the demo train run.

The boulevard Unter den Linden is then closed to traffic in the direction of Alexanderplatz between Wilhelmstrasse and Glinkastrasse. According to the VIZ, a blocking of Behrenstrasse is also to be expected. The event is scheduled to end at 8:00 p.m.
