A 19-year-old man was robbed of his belongings in the park at Stationsplein in Hoorn yesterday, while he was sitting there quietly on a bench. Two men and a woman have been arrested.
The robbery happened around 5 p.m. A group of four people walked past him and one of them started to intimidate the 19-year-old man. Two others from the group joined in a little later.
They asked the victim to hand over his belongings. When he said not to do this, a struggle ensued. In the end, the perpetrators made off with the man’s personal belongings.
The victim called the police and half an hour later two men (19, 24) and one woman (21) from Hoorn were arrested as suspects at Claes Molenaersgang and Kleine Noord. The fourth person in the group has not been arrested.
Police are continuing to investigate the robbery. It is unclear whether the suspects are still in custody.
