The Uruguayan defender between the past and United’s return home: “Pedri and Gavi won’t be there, but we can do it if we don’t make mistakes. My improvements? Also thanks to the plaza de toros…”

Ronald Araujo’s story is an example of growing up that this Uruguayan big boy of Brazilian descent tells with pride and a great sense of humor. “When I arrived in Barcelona the ball was flying. First workout, 20 in a small space: I touch it three times, I lose it three times. Just two years earlier I was still playing for my country’s team, Rivera, and in Uruguay there was no talk of building from below: we fired the balls away and the same did the opponents. And instead here at the Masia next to me there were kids who had grown up taking care of the ball, people who had been doing those exercises since they were 8-9 years old”.
