Now that the ordinary house-garden-and-kitchen life of the Meilandjes is getting a bit boring for television, they have to do tricks from Talpa. Following the example of the Frogertjes, Geer en Goor and the Roelvinkjes, they will live on welfare for a month. The recordings of their new SBS 6 show Chateau Assistance Are in full swing.

1,750 per month

If Erica and Martien were really both entitled to social assistance, they would receive 1,559 euros per month. So the two of you; not per person. And that wouldn’t even be enough to pay for the Uithoornse ‘assistance home’ where they will live for the next month for their new program on SBS 6.

That terraced house from 1962 is for rent for 1,750 euros per month, discovered juice channel† The advertisement for this house can indeed be found on the internet. “That’s right, my parents live there… It’s not a deprived area,” a local resident told the juice channel.

Unobstructed view

The Meilandjes’ social assistance home does not look very poor, according to the Funda advertisement. Everything is well finished and there is also an unobstructed view over a green park. Interested tenants, however, have to dig deep into their pockets. According to the broker, that 1,750 euros per month is ‘excluding gas, water, electricity, internet, etc’.

To be able to claim the house, one must have a good income, of at least about 5,250 euros per month. “And you have to pay a deposit of two months rent.”

March 7th

Chateau Bijstand will start on 7 March on SBS 6. With the program, De Meilandjes are committed to the charity Stichting Babyspullen. See also their call below:
