Bombardier bridge closed for half a year since today

Cyclists and pedestrians will have to follow a diversion until the end of August. The Flemish government is allocating 1.3 million euros for the renovation. In this way, competent minister Lydia Peters wants to get even more people on bicycles. The city of Bruges is pleased that Flanders is tackling many of the bridges, because they are very important for the opening up of the city.
