Players Championship 3 has not been a success for the Dutch darts players. Dirk van Duijvenbode and Raymond van Barneveld were already sent to the exit in the first round and the other compatriots could not claim a leading role either. Gian van Veen caused a stunt against Jonny Clayton, but was the last Dutchman to reach the quarterfinals.
