Curling (F): Four pairings at the start of the women’s tournament
Ten nations are at the start in the round robin in “everyone against everyone” mode, of which the top four teams qualify for the semi-finals. The round robin starts shortly after 2:00 a.m. German time with the games Great Britain vs. Switzerland, Denmark vs. China, Sweden vs. Japan and the Russian Olympic Committee vs. USA being played at the same time.

Curling (F): Start of the round robin
After the medals in the mixed doubles were awarded in the first week of the Olympics, the women will start their Olympic tournament this morning. Italy sensationally won gold in the mixed team with its duo Stefania Constantini / Amos Mosaner ahead of Norway and Sweden. In the women’s race, the Italians are not (yet) at the start this time.

The other competitions of the day
We would also have some artistry with the freestyle skiers, who compete for badges in the mixed team aerials. From 1:00 p.m. onwards, the speed skaters will also be challenged over 5,000 meters. And there is tobogganing – in a team competition, which is of course extremely interesting from a German point of view. We’ll save that for 2:30 p.m. Incidentally, the lugers pass the baton on to the skeletonists in the ice channel, while the men compete in their first two competition runs early in the morning. There is also plenty of curling. And there are four men’s ice hockey games on the program. The German team is in action for the first time and faces a very difficult task against Canada at 2:10 p.m.

The program early Thursday morning
The first medal decision starts at around 2:30 a.m. with the freestyle of the figure skating men. Snowboarding is also practiced quite early. The women fight for precious metal in the halfpipe, the men do it later in the cross race. Of course, from 3:30 a.m. CET, the super combination of the alpine skiers is of interest. The cross-country skiers search for an Olympic champion over 10 kilometers (8:00 a.m.).
Warm welcome!
Good morning and hello to the next day of competition from Beijing! Today it’s the curlers again who open the day at around 2 a.m. in the Chinese capital! We will be there live with the conference for the entire 14 hours!
