From 2.30 a.m.: Figure skating: Freestyle for men
Showdown for the figure skaters: the short program with powerful jumps is followed by the freestyle. The American Nathan Chen, who was rewarded for his performance with 113.97 points – a world record – has the best chance of winning gold. Chen is leading ahead of the two Japanese Yuma Kagiyama and Shoma Uno. Double Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu is only eighth and needs a miracle for a medal – and the fourfold Axel. If he actually dares to take that leap, it would be a world premiere.
From 2.30 a.m.: Snowboard: Halfpipe women
With Leilani Eettel in the final of the top twelve, the women are all about gold, silver and bronze in the halfpipe. The undisputed favorite to win the Olympics is American Chloe Kim, who has won every halfpipe competition in which she has participated since her triumph in South Korea four years ago. And was also the best in qualifying.
3.30 a.m. / 7.15 a.m.: Alpine skiing: combination men
World Champion Marco Schwarz from Austria, Alexis Pinturault from France or again a Swiss or a Norwegian? After the last three World Cup victories in a row, snowboard crosser Martin Nörl is reaching for a medal. After the shattered medal dreams of Ramona Hofmeister and Stefan Baumeister in the parallel giant slalom, Snowboard Germany is still waiting for the first podium finish at the Winter Games. 8:00 a.m.: Cross-country skiing: 10 km classic women

A surprise third in Finland was Katharina Hennig, who is also one of the hopefuls of the DSV in Beijing – but you can hardly expect a medal from her. The freestylers on the ski jumps provide perhaps the most spectacular pictures in winter sports. The Aerials Mixed competition is the first at these Olympics. However, a German team does not compete.
1:00 p.m.: Speed Skating: 5,000 m women
Almost traditionally, the Dutch dominate the speed skating competitions in Beijing. Over the 5,000 meters, our neighbors again have one of the top favorites at the start in Irene Schouten. She could succeed her compatriot Esmee Visser, who won gold on this track in Pyeongchang. Her predecessor Martina Sablikova from the Czech Republic is also part of the party.
