Diego Cocca appointed as head coach of Mexican national team

In the statement made by the Mexican Football Federation, it was recorded that the 50-year-old Argentine coach was appointed to head the national team.

The contract of Cocca, who coached Tigres, one of the Mexican teams, was terminated yesterday.

Mexico, who went to the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar under the management of Argentine Tata Martino, could not leave the group. Martino’s expiring contract was not renewed.

Mexico will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup together with the USA and Canada.
