A group of about ten people from the Wednesday morning coffee club in Hoogeveen is so concerned about the disaster that they have started a collection campaign of items. Needs: winter blankets, coats, shoes. The day before they also collected it for Turkey, but on Thursday they will focus on Syria. Because no matter how terribly the earthquake hit Turkey, aid is now getting underway there, while large parts of Syria are still deprived of contact and aid convoys.
