Fashionette AG is facing drastic changes. On Thursday, the Düsseldorf online retailer announced that current board members Georg Hesse and Thomas Buhl would be leaving the company at the end of February.
According to a statement, the supervisory board and the two executives “mutually” agreed on this solution. The outgoing board members therefore “resigned their offices to enable Fashionette to strategically realign under new leadership”. However, both had “declared their willingness to continue to be available to the company in an advisory capacity for a transitional period in order to ensure a smooth handover of the business to the new board”.
At the same time, the company announced that Dominik Benner would take over the position of CEO from March 1st. He is the managing partner and CEO of the e-commerce group The Platform Group GmbH & Co. KG, which became a major shareholder in Fashionette last December by acquiring a stake of 38.5 percent.
Fashionette faces a “strategic reorientation”
A realignment of the online retailer is now planned: “As part of the strategic further development of Fashionette, the company will examine future cooperation with The Platform Group,” the company announced. “This applies in particular to the expansion of Fashionette to include a platform approach, as well as the areas of software development and marketing.” increase”.
The company will “also evaluate the possibilities of merging the companies,” according to a statement. According to “current knowledge”, however, “neither the exclusion of minority shareholders (squeeze-out) of the company nor a withdrawal of the company from the stock exchange are planned”.
