The German tennis men have to play away in the Davis Cup relegation. Alexander Zverev and Co. are visiting Bosnia-Herzegovina on September 15 and 16, according to the draw in London on Thursday (02/09/23).
The team of national coach Michael Kohlmann lost 2:3 against Switzerland in Trier last weekend and thus missed the qualification for the group phase and the associated direct relegation.
Clear favorite role
“After the great atmosphere in Trier, we would of course have wished for another home game,” said Davis Cup captain Michael Kohlmann and was sure of victory. “No matter what constellation we play there, we should be the favorite in all five matches. Therefore, the goal can only be to qualify for the Davis Cup qualifiers next year.”
Germany is the clear favorite going into the game in Bosnia. The best Bosnian player is currently Damir Dzumhur at world number 226.
