The child was found by garbage collectors on the sidewalk at a garbage can in the commune of Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis (near Paris). The child’s mother is reportedly a 19-year-old woman who lives in the municipality where the discovery was made, the prosecutor’s office said.
