Bread and Games: reporter under fire after game of handball

In a brand new episode of Bread and Games, reporter Thomas Brood joins the handball players of national champion Aalsmeer. “His technique can still be improved,” said keeper René de Knegt.

It didn’t look really smooth. Brood has particular difficulty with the resin that the handball players put on their fingertips. “That should be banned,” the reporter is clear.

“The balls either go into the ground or over the boys. He has quite a bit of trouble with the technique”, trainer Bert Bouwer is still civilized about Brood’s lousy technique.

“If he was in our selection, we would have said find another hobby”

So our reporter does not have a velvet technique. “If he was in our selection, we would have said find another hobby,” said player Pepijn Michielsen.

When Brood stands on the goal it seems to go a bit better in training. Despite the fact that the balls are still flying around his ears, he does have the idea that the goalkeeper’s profession suits him better in handball.

Finally, the handball players have a nice closing for Brood.
