BVB is serious about the World Cup star

Mohammed Kudus from Ajax Amsterdam has been traded as a possible new signing for Borussia Dortmund for a few weeks. Now BVB is clearly concretizing its efforts for the Ghanaian World Cup star.

As “Sky” reporter Florian Plettenberg reports on Twitter, Borussia Dortmund wants to sign Mohammed Kudus next summer.

According to this, part of the transfer fee that BVB expects when Jude Bellingham is sold should be reinvested in the transfer of the Ajax professional. The Englishman should flush more than 100 million euros into the coffers if he changes.

Loose talks between those responsible for the black and yellow and the Kudus side are said to have already taken place, but there have not yet been any concrete negotiations.

How deep BVB would have to dig into their pockets for kudus is unclear. The 22-year-old offensive player’s contract with Ajax runs until 2025.

“Sport Bild” recently reported that Kudus could leave the Dutch record champions in the summer for 20 million euros. According to the British “Sun”, Ajax is demanding at least 45 million euros.

According to the Spanish portal “El Nacional”, Liverpool FC should even be prepared to raise this sum to 50 million euros in order to win the Ghanaian’s courtship.

But BVB is not only threatened by competition from the Reds. Arsenal, Newcastle United and FC Barcelona have also been reported to be interested.

Kudus plays big at the World Cup

Mohammed Kudus joined Ajax Amsterdam from Danish first division club FC Nordsjaelland in 2020, where he has mostly played as a center forward or in attacking midfield this season and has contributed 12 goals (10 goals/2 assists) in 21 competitive games.

At the World Championships in Qatar, Kudus played big and drew attention to themselves with strong performances. He scored two goals in three games for Ghana.
