Aleksandr Barkov senior joins the Spartak Moscow organization.

NHL star Aleksander Barkov junior father Aleksandr Barkov senior has got a job in Russia.
Barkov, 57, will join the organization of KHL club Spartak Moscow in the role of junior coach. Spartak will inform about it on their website.
Barkov has played in the Moscow club between 1988 and 1993. In Finland, he has represented Tappara in 1994–2004.
In his coaching career, the Russian champion has worked in Finland, Russia, China and Estonia as well. He has been piloting the Estonian youth national team since last season.
Barkov worked as an assistant coach in the KHL from 2010 to 2015 at Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Ak Bars Kazan and Amur Khabarovsk. In one Magnitogorsk season, he was the head coach, but got the boot in the middle of the season.
Ilta-Sanomat was the first to report Barkov’s transfer to Spartak in Finland.
