The construction of Sporthuis Peize is delayed. While excavating the changing rooms – which will be partly underground – the builders came across an electricity cable. Grid operator Enexis must divert it, but that may take some time.

That says VV Peize chairman Harm Jan Danker. The football association takes the lead in the process surrounding the sports house. Ultimately, there should be a multifunctional sports complex for the entire village, with space for indoor and outdoor sports. The expectation was that the sports house would be there in November next year, but that will probably not work.

That has everything to do with the cable that was found. “This supplies power to one or two schools that are close by,” says Danker. “Enexis will have to divert it, but they are quite busy. That means we have to wait longer. The expectation is that there will be time to tackle the problem from February 6. We don’t know how long that will take.”
