Restaurant Cizbiz Köfte at the Rembrandt gallery in Roosendaal was the target of an attack with heavy fireworks for the third time this year early on Sunday. Bureau Brabant has surveillance images on which the perpetrator can be seen three times. Who recognizes this perpetrator?
On Sunday morning around half past six, a huge bang was heard at restaurant Cizbiz Köfte. Someone had thrown heavy fireworks through the window, presumably a hole had been thrown in the window with a stone. The front of the restaurant was badly damaged. Due to the air pressure, a window at the back even collapsed and a fire started.
The restaurant was the target of an attack for the third time. The first attempt was made on the night of 2 to 3 January. A perpetrator stuck the fireworks to the window. He ran off because residents noticed and went after him. The man managed to escape.
The same method was used on Thursday, January 13. This time the fireworks exploded and punched a big hole in the window, causing a lot of damage to the restaurant.
The attacker can be seen on surveillance images of the three attacks. For example, the perpetrator wore dark clothing twice and had pulled a hood over his head. At the second attack, he was wearing a blue tracksuit with white sneakers underneath.
Police want to know who is behind the attack and what the motive is. According to the police, the owner has no conflicts.
