He had already found an egg cell, and a surrogate mother, but he came across a njet at the ethics committee of UZ Gent. Singles, whether men or women, cannot have a child through a surrogate mother. “I know that by ‘lying’ about a possible relationship I increase my chances, but I don’t want to do that.”
