Forty ‘Christmas angels’ were put in the spotlight last week by indebuurt and eight AD regional newspapers. They were surprised with a beautiful gift and personal message. Some are still shining today!

Hundreds of people throughout the country were nominated by acquaintances and strangers as Christmas angels. The reason: they do something nice for those close to them without asking for anything in return.
Generous fellow citizens
From the lady from Rotterdam who gives gifts to underprivileged children to the volunteer from Almelo who cooks meals for the minimum. But also our own Zoetermeer shoemaker Tico! Editors of indebuurt and regional newspapers visited these generous fellow citizens with a surprise. You can see what that looked like in the video below!

With Think of each other, indebuurt and eight newspaper titles are joining forces by highlighting stories and initiatives at different times of the year. Our goal is to connect people. The Christmas angel campaign is the second in the series after we celebrated friendships in October in the Week against Loneliness. We will continue with these types of actions in 2023 as well.
