In the 8th week of Basketball ULEB European Cup Group A, Frutti Extra Bursaspor defeated the Lithuanian representative Lietkabelis 75-69.
Bursa representative scored his 5th victory in the group with this result.
Frutti Extra Bursaspor, which started the match by catching a 7-0 series with the points of Clemmons and Needham, could not spread this performance throughout the period, and the guest team Lietkabelis finished the first quarter ahead 22-16 with Goloman.
Frutti Extra Bursaspor, who started the second period fast and found dunks with Dudzinski consecutively, turned the score in their favor in the 15th minute: 29-26. Bursa representative played better in the remaining minutes, when both teams increased the hardness of the defense and forced their opponent to make a mistake, and entered the locker room with a superior 36-35.
Frutti Extra Bursaspor, who came out with a more controlled appearance on the floor in the third period, was effective with the set attacks of their short players Clemmons and Needham and went ahead 48-41 in the 17th minute. Increasing the rhythm with Onuralp Bitim and Yiğitcan Saybir’s involvement, the green-whites increased the lead to double digits (56-46) and went to the final period advantageously.
Although Lithuanian representative Lietkabelis tried to reduce the gap from time to time in the last period, Frutti Extra Bursaspor did not allow the return of its opponent, behind the intense support of the audience, and managed to leave the park with a 75-69 victory.
