But the Agency sticks to the three-month temporary closure. The city of Roeselare is now helping to find a solution for the parents.
“I am angry. I find it incomprehensible that this decision has been made. I understand the caution of Kind en Gezin, but I think it is going too far now. I think they do too little research. The crèches are closed without a valid reason” , says parent Marlies Vandewalle.
Parents who brought their child to ‘t Pacifier in Beveren near Roeselare until last week come to encourage the person responsible. Nancy herself prefers not to respond to the camera, but she is very upset that her shelter has to close for three months. She has been taking care of children for more than 30 years and now, according to the Growing Up Agency, she is no longer doing well.
The parents of 24 children are now at a loss. The city of Roeselare is helping to find solutions and will contact the parents by the end of this week.
