Bayern Munich | New replacement: Alexander Nübel as a “logical decision” for the record champions?

Michael Reschke, former technical director at FC Bayern Munich, sees the German soccer record champions under pressure after the serious injury to goalkeeper Manuel Neuer on the transfer market.

“Relying only on Sven Ulreich, even if he was a very good replacement for Manuel in the past, is too risky,” said today’s European boss of a global player advisory agency at “ran.de”: “Sven could get injured and behind them FC Bayern only have young, very inexperienced goalkeepers in the squad. The risk of missing the intended goals is too great.”

That’s why Reschke, who has also worked for Bayer Leverkusen, VfB Stuttgart and Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga, is certain: “The people in charge at Bayern will now definitely explore the goalkeeper market intensively and will most likely become active in winter.”

For Reschke, a return campaign for Alexander Nübel, who is currently on loan to AS Monaco, appears to be “the logical decision”. However, those responsible for Bayern would “also examine other alternatives,” believes Reschke.

The 65-year-old knows: “FC Bayern always aim to sign top quality and the goalkeeper position is particularly important.”
