Backwater in Reinickendorf on Oranienburger Straße. At the arrival center for asylum seekers from Syria, Afghanistan, Moldova, etc., 2,100 people are currently waiting weeks to be registered.
Around 1070 new arrivals are waiting in Reinickendorf, the rest in Tegel in the former TXL Terminal A/B. The result: no security check by the police, no benefits, no access to health care. You only get first aid.
On average, those affected wait three weeks for an invitation from the State Office for Refugee Affairs (LAF). The sickness rate is high for the service provider (31 people) who was hired to provide support.
By the end of October, 10,783 asylum seekers had been distributed to Berlin, as many as in all of 2021.
