New head of design at the Porsche Lifestyle Group

Porsche Lifestyle GmbH & Co. KG, a 100 percent subsidiary of Porsche AG, has appointed Carsten Monnerjan to the position of chief designer as of April 2023. He succeeds the longstanding Chief Design Officer of the Porsche Lifestyle Group and Managing Director of Porsche Design GmbH, Roland Heiler. Heiler, who has successfully developed and significantly shaped the Porsche Design brand for decades, is retiring, the company said in a press release.

As the new Managing Director of Porsche Design GmbH, Monnerjan will lead the creative team at Studio FA Porsche in Zell am See. The focus is on the future even closer cooperation between the worldwide Porsche Design Studios in Zell am See, Berlin, Los Angeles, Shanghai and Ludwigsburg as well as with the Style Porsche Studio in Weissach.

In his last professional position, Monnerjan worked as “Head of Design” at the Audi subsidiary “Italdesign”, where he significantly shaped the team and was able to research new industrial fields for the design office there. Before that, he headed the Audi design studio in Munich between 2008 and 2012. Right from the start, his design expertise lay in automotive-related industrial design.

Monnerjan and his team of lifestyle and industrial design experts will work even more closely with the team around Michael Mauer, Head of Style Porsche at Porsche AG. The goal is the even more consistent transfer of the brand-typical design DNA of the sports car manufacturer to the products of the Porsche Lifestyle Group.
