First winter transfer
After the big shopping spree in the summer, Nottingham Forest has finalized the first new signing for the upcoming winter transfer period. Gustavo Scarpa joins the Premier League on a free transfer following the end of his contract with SE Palmeiras São Paulo and has signed a contract until June 30, 2026.
The attacking midfielder is leaving his native Brazil for the first time at the age of 28. In Série A he has made 237 appearances for Palmeiras and Fluminense since 2014, scoring 33 goals and providing 58 assists. Scarpa has increased its market value from 3.5 million to 12 million euros since the summer of 2021. This makes him one of the 15 most valuable players in the league.

“I’m very happy to be here, it’s a dream for me. It’s a new challenge and I can’t wait to get started. I’ve always wanted to play in Europe since I was a little kid and my dream is to play in the Premier League. I’m a technical player, but I’ve also developed defensively in recent years. I’m very dedicated and hard working and I’m looking forward to starting now,” Scarpa said at his introduction.
