Second World Cup of the season, second victory: Bobsleigh pilot Franceso Friedrich and brakeman Thorsten Margis triumphed at the two-man bobsleigh World Cup in Park City/USA on the 2022 Olympic track. For the four-time Olympic champion, it was the 69th World Cup victory of his career. In the second race, the duo moved from third place to the front. Friedrich had already finished first at the first World Cup of the season in November in Whistler, Canada.
At half-time, British Bob Brad Hall/Taylor Lawrence was still in the lead, who lost significantly in the second round and ended up trailing the German winning team by a whopping 26 hundredths. After the first run, Hall/Lawrence were still nine hundredths ahead. Third place went to Michael Vogt/Sandro Michel from Switzerland.
Two German bobs just missed the podium
Johannes Lochner and his brakeman Florian Bauer just missed the podium in fourth place. The third German bob with Christoph Hafer and Matthias Sommer finished fifth.
