Police close highway exits due to illegal party

Illegal party Ammerzoden ended after police call ANP

After a call from the police, an illegal party in Ammerzoden (municipality of Maasdriel, on the border of Gelderland and North Brabant) has ended. “The music has been turned off and there are still some people, but most of the visitors have left,” said a police spokesman.

The Mobile Unit is on site and the police have closed the exits of the A2 to prevent more partygoers from coming to the illegal party. According to the Gelderlander, more than 3,000 people had come to the event, but the police estimate more than 1,500 visitors. The police have not arrested anyone.

An emergency order is currently in effect in the municipality of Maasdriel to prevent the party from continuing in the vicinity.
